Dig the Dunes Trail Stop is the only location along the shores of the Indiana Dunes National Park where you can enjoy beer, wine, a light bite, or a full meal, all while watching the waves and a beautiful sunset. Trail Stop will be open weekends in May (weather permitting) and then will open for the season Memorial Day weekend. View our events here.

At Trail Stop, we source many of our menu items locally, including our freshly baked pretzels, hand made ice cream and craft brews. Head to Trail Stop for live music, a wine tasting, or to just sit and watch the sunset.

Dig the Dunes Trail Stop is located at 1000 Riverwalk Drive in Portage, IN. (Portage Lakefront & Riverwalk).

What can you find at Trail Stop?

Beer, wine, snacks, sunsets and a whole lot more! We are located right on the lake and within steps from the Portage beach and hiking trails. All in the Indiana Dunes National Park.

Yes! We have a large selection of Dig the Dunes and National Park apparel. We also have beach glass jewelry from Treasures by the Tide, magnets, stickers and much more!

Do you sell National Park passes at Trail Stop?

Yes we do! We have the Indiana Dunes National Park annual and 1-7 day passes.
