Ten Mile Brewery to open this weekend in Porter.

September 20, 2018

Ten Mile Brewery, located in Porter, IN, is scheduled to open THIS Friday, September 21. The brewery, owned by Eric Cox, Shannon Goins and Rich Tarin will have nine taps available during opening weekend (there are 12 taps total). All three owners brew and have their own style, giving them something for everyone from classics to IPAs, to creative, fruity and fun brews. The name is historical, coming from the “Ten Mile Purchase” which was the last ten miles of land obtained from the Indians and included Porter to Lake Michigan.

Ten Mile Brewery was a single family home for many years. The owners and their crew (which include wives, kids and friends) have spent several years refurbishing it and have done an amazing job. The inside is very welcoming, similar to a bar you might find in Chicago. There are board games available, indoor shuffle board and even checkers and tic-tac-toe on the tables. An outdoor patio sits out front which allows customers the perfect view of trains and people passing by the popular Lincoln Street in downtown Porter.

The establishment is 21+, no-smoking and at this time there is no food. However, they plan to have food trucks on weekends and you are welcome to grab carry out from one of the spots down the road or have food delivered to the brewery.

Ten Mile Brewery is located at 100 Lincoln Street, Porter. You can find out more information on their facebook page.

Hours will be:
Thurs: 3-9
Fri: 3-10
Sat: 12-10
Sun: 12-6
