Swale Music Fest to take the stage this Memorial Weekend in MC
What is a Swale?
Swales are located in the dunes and are low or hollow places; marshy depressions between ridges. It’s also the dunes newest music festival put on by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association. It will feature over 20 bands and three stages!
What are the details? Swale will be held on May 26th from 1-10 pm at Charles R. Wescott Park in Michigan City (Michigan Blvd & Hwy 12).
What can one expect? A collection of over 20 artists that will span the musical scope of indie-rock, country-punk, blues-rock, hip-hop and much more! No matter your style of music, you will find something you like! Bands include Beach Bunny, P-Lotus, Fragile Soul, James Neary, The Dracu-Lahs and many more! A full schedule can be seen here.
Anything else? Local Grub from Smokey G’s BBQ and Barker Pub will be served as well as local craft beer from Burn ‘Em, Zorn and Shoreline. Wine will also be available.
And to wrap it up? This is a family friendly event! Tickets are $10 in advance (can be purchased here) and $15 at the door. Kids 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult.
