Robert Rolfe Feddersen to celebrate the release of C’MON NOW!!! at Burn ‘Em Brewing on June 20

June 17, 2017

Singer/songwriter Robert Rolfe Feddersen (RRF) is going to kick off the Summer of 2017 right with his highly anticipated compilation CD, “C’MON NOW!!!” on June 20 with a release party at Burn ‘Em Brewing in Michigan City, Ind.

This is the eighth solo release for the Crown Point, Ind. based musician. The 18 tracks appearing on the CD are drawn from his previous seven releases with some of the tunes being used on television, movies, and receiving air play locally, nationally, and around the world.

The seven previous recordings include “Graves of Soldiers” (2007), “Leaving Indiana” (2008), “I Wanna be on TV” (2009), “Milkman: (2010), “Get a Rope” (2011), “American Loser” (2013), and “My Terri Ann” (2016). The last two releases were recorded in Chicago by renown audio engineer and producer, Steve Albini.

“I am putting out this compilation because I have been touring heavily (157 shows in 2016) and want people to hear my old material,” Feddersen said. “Instead of releasing each CD again individually, I thought a compilation would be the best idea. Sort of like, dare I say, a greatest hits or best of collection. I picked the songs that are appearing on “C’MON NOW!!!” from those I enjoy listening to most.”

Feddersen’s musical career dates back to September of 1982 when he first performed at a Catholic school on his native South Side of Chicago. Musical stops along the way include fronting the rock band Loudmouth in the mid-90’s generating the platinum selling song “Fly” that appeared on the soundtrack of the movie Varsity Blues. For the past few years RRF has been co-hosting “Left of Center” on the Valparaiso, Ind. community radio station WVLP-LP 103.1 FM.

Spanning many genres of music, Feddersen’s sound most closely leans toward the folk side of music with a very open, honest, reflective, humorous, and topical approach. His songwriting has been compared to early Bruck Springsteen, Steve Earle, and Woody Guthrie.  RRF’s live shows are always entertaining, engaging, and heavily audience-inclusive. He was named one of Chicago’s 93XRT/Local Anesthetic’s Best of 2016 by host, Richard Milne.

“Music is always something that made me feel alive,” Feddersen said. “Not only was listening an amazing experience, but discovering I could play music was very special too. That hooked me even more.”

The “C’MON NOW!!!” release party will be from 8-10pm CST at Burn ‘EM Brewing (718 Freyer Road, Michigan City, Ind.) following the brewery’s weekly Tuesday Vinyl Night (4-8 PM) hosted by RRF.

“I wanted to have this release party at Burn ‘Em because they are such big supporters of my music and more importantly, the entire local and regional music scene,” Feddersen said. “Craft beer and music go together so well and the guys at Burn ‘Em embrace this with a passion. It doesn’t hurt that they also produce such insanely good beer.”

Copies of “C’MON NOW!!!” can be purchased at the release party, RRF shows, his website (,, iTunes, and Amazon beginning on June 20.
