On August 17th and 18th, the Lubeznik Arts Festival will take place at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts in Michigan City. The Lubeznik Center for the Arts strives to enrich the art experience for people of all ages through exhibitions, performing arts, and art education. The festival will include fine arts and crafts for sale as well as art exhibitions and a wide range of interactive family art experiences. Festival goers can also view the Center’s current art Exhibition: The Chicago Imagists: Before and After.
The festival will showcase 85 different booths this year. The artists and crafters were hand selected for the festival through a jury process. And the galleries will be showing regional galleries and artists that represent the best in emerging contemporary art.
Food vendors will offer a range of food options. Vendors that have been confirmed are: Cabo’s Ice Cream & Mexican Food (Michigan City, IN) and Pachamama Street Food (New Buffalo, MI).
On Saturday the 17th, there will also be live musical performance at 1:00pm and 1:40pm by the Surabhi Ensemble from Chicago.
All proceeds from this event are invested back into the community. The LCA’s galleries are open to the public at no charge and its programs serve thousands of children and adults each year.
