Jammin’ with Save the Dunes, Save the Dunes signature fundraiser, returns to Michigan City’s Guy Foreman Amphitheater on June 1, 2019. This year they have planned quite a treat for you with several noteworthy bands, over ten local breweries and wineries, an array of food trucks, the expanded Jammin Artisan Market and the always popular kid zone.
The day kicks off at 4:00 with The River Kittens, a duet from St. Louis known for their soulful, harmonious folk music. It continues with local favorite and jam band Stealin The Farm. At about 7:00 The Blisters will come on stage. Coming from their hometown, Chicago, The Blisters are young and full of energy. Don’t let their youth fool you though, they have been playing together for over a decade! Between bands and also emceeing throughout the day is the lovable and talented Robert Rolfe Feddersen. Robert will have his stage set up in the beer garden and will broadcast to you throughout the park.
Save the Dunes is thrilled to announce their headliner for the show. This year they are bringing Jon Langford and the Waco Brothers to the Michigan City shores of Lake Michigan to entertain you. Jon is a prolific musician based out of Chicago and is known for founding several bands including The Mekons, The Three Johns, and The Waco Brothers. The Waco Brothers are country punk and have recorded over a dozen albums. The Waco Brothers will surely get you on your feet smiling and dancing the night away.
In addition to all this amazing music you will find over ten breweries and wineries including Burn ‘Em, Zorn, Shoreline, Byway, Three Floyd’s, Chesterton Brewery and Easley Winery. All beer & wine will be just $5 and served in a reusable Save the Dunes cup. Enjoy delicious grub and a wide variety provided by Cool Runnings, King of the Road, Valpo Velvet, South Shore Pizza, Hero’s Hot Dogs and more!
Jammin has also expanded it’s vendor area and kid zone. This is an event that is fun for the whole family! Be sure to follow the event on facebook to see what’s happening and get any updates!
