Dig the Dunes is excited to team up with hypnotist Randi Light, of Enlightened Living Hypnosis, for a Past Life Regression event at Barker Mansion in Michigan City on March 1. (follow the facebook event here)

Whether you believe in past lives or not, we thought this would be a fun way to get your feet wet and see what you might find out about yourself! We asked Randi a few questions about Past Life Regression and what people can expect at the event. Here’s what she said…

What is Past Life Regression?
Past Life Regression is a technique used by hypnotherapists to take you back in time to other lifetimes. It’s also an opportunity for you to truly understand yourself; your passions, your pains, your patterns of behaviors.  When you are guided back in time you can heal emotional and physical issues that are still affecting you in this life. It’s also your opportunity to clear past karma and help you heal emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, financially and sexually.

Once I have prepared everyone to have a great hypnotic experience and learn how to trust their impressions, then I guide everyone at the same time into hypnosis and eventually through a portal to other lifetimes that will serve the best in this lifetime. You will also have an opportunity to connect with loved ones in the spirit world. All the insights and positive learnings will be absorbed and propel you to create a bright and compelling future and assist you in becoming your best version of yourself.

How does someone go into a state to be able to do this? What will you do at the event?
Hypnotherapists get trained to lead Past Life Regression events and private sessions. I have a school as well where I train hypnotists to use my protocols. Here’s the cool thing, your subconscious and superconscious mind has stored everything that has ever happened from this life and other lives, too. Since hypnosis is a normal, natural, common, everyday occurrence, it’s easy to guide someone into this focused and relaxed state.  Hypnotists use what is called an induction to take you into the alpha and theta brain wave states where your naturally become more open and receptive to positive changes.

Why did you choose Barker Mansion?
The historical aspects of the barker mansion could make it easier and certainly more fun for people because the event may actually draw in participants who experienced the Barker Mansion in a former life. The main room at Barker Mansion is a beautiful and amazing space where people will be able to sit or lie down and relax while we do the induction. Aftwerwards, guests will be able to tour the mansion which will be so much fun after their experience.

Will people get individual time with you at the event?
We will begin the event preparing everyone to have a great hypnotic experience as well as a cool regression experience. Sometimes after the hypnosis session, I personally assist someone to bring more clarity to their experience. Questions can and will be answered before and after the event.  Especially since after the event, we will be drinking wine while processing.

Anything else you would like to share?
I always encourage people to bring an open mind, a yoga mat or two, pillows and blankets so you can completely relax during the hypnosis component of the event. Hope to see you there!

Tickets for the Past Life Regression at Barker Mansion are $55 and can be purchased here.
