Four events you don’t want to miss in May
The weather is warming up, people are getting outside and events are coming back. Hurray! We’ve scoured everything happening in the area this month and came up with our top four. Here’s what we’ve got for you.
- May 15 & 16: Wizard of Oz Days, Chesterton. Experience everything you love about The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Live Entertainment, food, amazing vendors, contests & so much more! This year it will be held at Duneland Falls Banquet Center in Chesterton. More information can be found here.
- May 15: The Tequila Convention at The Brewery Lodge, Michigan City. This event will feature tastings from some of the most well known tequila national brands as well as some local upstarts. Live music will be provided by Visions of Santana. Price is $55 and includes dinner. Get all the details right here.
- May 19: Dig the Dunes Beer Run, Michigan City. It’s time to bring beer runs back. This first one will be a trail run (or walk) at Tryon Farm. Every registration will receive a ticket for a beer at Zorn Brew Works. This first run will be limited to 40 people and will be advance registration only. More info and registration here.
- May 28. Trail Stop Summer Kick-Off Party, Portage. Head to Portage Lakefront in the National Park for a summer kick-off party. Trail Stop concession and shop will be open and there will be live music with Ryan Staniszeski from 5-8pm. Round Barn will also be out with some free tastings. This event is free to the public.
