The long awaited 3 Floyd’s Distillery is now open! In the works since 2014, the 3 Floyd’s Distillery was finally able to open their doors at 9750 Parkway in Munster, just North of their brewery location last week.
Upon first glance, when walking in the doors, it’s obvious they’ve carried on the same heavy metal aesthetic that is seen in their brewery. The ceiling is decorated with recycled liquor barrels and gold light fixtures resembling the Alpha Kong’s crown, there is also a mural that takes up a portion of the back wall and preserved Norwegian Moss on another.
The bar is the centerpiece, decorated with a pyramid of clear glass liquor bottles.
3 Floyd’s Distillery offers a menu with food, desserts and a choice of liquor sampling’s and a variety of craft cocktails. At the time of our visit, 3 Floyd’s “first offerings” were as follows Blanq Reavers Silver Rum made up of 100% evaporated cane juice; Divine Rite White Whiskey made up of malted barley, oat malt, wheat and corn; Oude Boatface Gin made with notes from juniper, cardamom and lemongrass; and BustHedd Akvavit made with notes from dill, caraway and fennel.
The tasting room will be open seven days a week from 4pm to midnight and closed for Dark Lord Day on Saturday May 18th, 2019. Stop in today and give it a try for yourself or take home a bottle of their White Whiskey to add to your 3 Floyd’s collection.
