2 “Fun”draisers Worth Checking Out in July!
Looking for something fun and different to do this summer while raising money for an organization? Consider one of these two events!
First, On July 13th climb aboard the Emita II for a 2 hour Lake Michigan cruise to benefit Tryon Farm Institute. The mission of Tryon Farm Institute is to connect human and natural communities by promoting habitat diversity and sustainable land husbandry. The cruise will depart at 5:00. Cost is $65 for adults and $20 for children. The cost includes the boat ride, food, cash bar and prizes. Second on our list is Gatsby at the Gardens at Friendship Botanic Gardens. Gatsby takes place on July 27. This is the third year for this event and it is sure to be a ball. Friendship Gardens is one of Michigan City’s hidden treasures. Their mission is to create a nature-filled sanctuary for all people, as they enrich the community through cultural, educational and social events. Dress up for the occasion and step out in style as you dance the night away, taste four fun cocktails and enjoy a delicious spread of food. Play lawn games and listen to a jazz trio under the stars.
