Wow! November sure went by fast. We barely got this list to you in time. With so much fun stuff happening for the holidays, we are sure another list will be coming your way!

December 1 – Holly Days, Valparaiso, IN – Let’s start off December on the right foot! Head out to downtown Valparaiso and enjoy live entertainment, visit your favorite shops, and just enjoy strolling around the decorated Valpo streets. It will be a great way to get you in the holiday spirit.

December 3 – Abstract/Illusion “Earth Series” by Ginny Scott Opening – Want to support a local artist this month? Come on out to Arturo’ Baked Goods & More where Ginny Scott presents her collection of small works. Enjoy some small bites and blues during this viewing.

December 5 – Dig the Dunes Calendar Release Party, Chesterton, IN – Meet the photographers behind the wonderful pieces that make up the 2018 Dig the Dunes calendar! There will be a $5 cover charge at the door, but will be waived if you purchase one of our calendars. Enjoy some food, wine, and music while we celebrate our photographers!

December 7 – Ash Devine Concert to Open Applacian Photo Exhibit, Gary, IN – Get together for this wonderful exhibit at Flood Gallery in Gary! Enjoy this photography exhibit and traditional concert that will document a mountain lifestyle throughout the entire gallery.

December 7 – Free Writer’s Group Quilling Time, Valparaiso, IN – This is a weekly event at FLUID Coffee Bar that you can attend from December 7th to Feburary 22nd. Plenty of time to make it out, and it’s perfect for all ages! Grab a cup of coffee, meet new people, and engage in some great conversation at one of these weekly meetings.

December 10 – Caroling at the Library, New Buffalo, MI – It wouldn’t be the holiday season without a bit of caroling! It will be led by members of the School of American Music and you can even sing along too, as they’ll have printed sheets of each song for you. Light refreshments will even be served. Let’s keep the Harbor County tradition and join in on the caroling!

December 10 – Photos with Santa, Valparaiso, IN – Time to take the kids out and see Santa! He’s coming out to Taltree Arboretum & Gardens this season. Taltree’s store has been transformed for this occasion into Santa’s own workshop, and its free admission. This isn’t to be missed!

December 16 – Valpo Parks Luminary Walk, Valparaiso, IN – Vale Park Pathway will come to life after dark for a beautiful luminary walk. There will be carolers, cookies, and hot chocolate, and more to accompany you on this ¾ mile pathway. This would be great for all ages, as long as it isn’t too cold! Definitely a sight to see.

December 17 – 2017 Christmas Concert, Portage, IN – Christmas music never fails to get you into the holiday spirit – whether it be carolers, or this annual tradition out in Portage. Here’s a free concert led by local musicians that is free to the public. What a great way to get you ready the week before Christmas.
